Agribusiness UPNVJT Warmly Welcomes Mrs. Maisaroh Samaae from Yala Rajabhat University, Thailand

On May 7, 2025, the Agribusiness Study Program at UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur had the honor of receiving a visit from Mrs. Maisaroh Samaae, a representative from Yala Rajabhat University, Thailand. This visit was part of an academic mobility program that has been consistently promoted to strengthen international collaboration in higher education, particularly in the field of agribusiness.

Mrs. Maisaroh Samaae’s presence marked an important milestone in building cross-country academic collaboration through activities such as joint lectures involving faculty members from both institutions, as well as her participation as a prospective doctoral student in the Agribusiness Doctoral Program at UPNVJT. This initiative reflects a concrete effort to internationalize education and facilitate knowledge exchange between Indonesia and Thailand.

In a welcoming speech, the leadership of the Faculty of Agriculture and the Agribusiness Study Program expressed appreciation for the growing partnership between UPNVJT and Yala Rajabhat University. This visit is expected to go beyond individual academic mobility and expand into research collaborations, curriculum development, as well as future joint conferences and publications.

This academic mobility initiative also supports the university’s internationalization agenda in line with UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur’s vision to become an excellent, globally competitive university that is responsive to the dynamics of education and agribusiness at the international level. The direct involvement of students and faculty in global interactions enriches academic experiences and broadens perspectives through cultural and academic diversity.

The Agribusiness Study Program sees this collaboration as a strategic move to build a sustainable international network. Through such activities, both lecturers and students are encouraged to be more open to global dynamics and to adopt interdisciplinary approaches in addressing challenges within the agribusiness sector.

At the conclusion of the visit, both parties conveyed their commitment to exploring further collaborative initiatives in the near future. Planned future programs include international internships, student exchanges, and joint research focused on agribusiness and sustainable development issues in the ASEAN region.
